Hannah Clayton Signs with Erskine College

Surrounded by her family and coaches, Hannah Clayton signed a Tennis Scholarship to Erskine College in South Carolina on November 8.
To date, Hannah's ICHS Tennis Record is 60 wins and 0 losses. We will all be cheering Hannah on as she completes her senior year and final tennis season at Irwin County High School, and later as she plays as one of the "Flying Fleet" at Erskine.
ICHS One Act Play Cast & Crew are Area Champions

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the one act play for winning the area championship today at the ICHS Auditorium. The cast had a fabulous performance of The Importance of Being Earnest to earn the sixth consecutive one act play title for ICHS Thespians.
Reid Griffin was named the Best Actor which carries on a long-standing tradition at ICHS of having either the best actor or actress for the past nine consecutive years! Wesley McGill and Abby Blanchett were also recognized for their stellar performances by being named to the Area All-Star Cast. ICHS will compete at state on November 11 at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon. A public performance is being planned.
The cast and crew wish to thank all of you for your support and encouragement as we tackled this difficult and challenging script!

FCCLA Leadership Conference

Irwin County FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) attended DISCOVER Leadership Conference on Saturday, August 26, 2017 along with hundreds of other students from around Georgia. Officers attending included Chelsea Champion (Chapter President), Lia Olguin (Vice President), and Katy Smith (VP of Membership). Officers attended workshops to hone their leadership skills and help them to succeed in the upcoming year as a chapter. The 2017-18 school year will provide students with leadership, community service, and personal growth experiences. Katy Smith said "FCCLA is the ultimate leadership experience, and has provides me with many tools and experiences that will carry me into my future career and family relations."

The 1-877-SAY-STOP toll- free hotline was created by the Georgia Department of Education. Students can anonymously report anyone who has a weapon, has threatened to bring a weapon to school, or has violated any other school safety rules. The hotline hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. all calls will be forwarded to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Callers will not be asked to reveal their identities.
