Employment Certification (Work Permits)

A work permit is required for anyone who desires to hold a job but has not reached the age of 18. A work permit may be obtained at the Board of Education at 210 Apple Street. Completed work permits must be returned to the Board of Education for certification. A picture ID is required.

To streamline the work permit process, minors may go to the Department of Labor website to complete and print an employment certificate. This certificate must still be certified by the Board of Education.
