Class of 2019 Parents/Guardians: Irwin County High School will be hosting a FAFSA (Federal Financial Aid) Help Session on January 16 in the HS Counseling Office. Mrs. Carol Ann Lott from Georgia Student Finance Commission will be on campus from 9 am to 3 pm to assist parents and students in completing the FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the key to obtaining federal financial aid like grants, work-study, student loans, and some scholarships used to pay for college. Reid Griffin was named the Best Actor which carries on a long-standing tradition at ICHS of having either the best actor or actress for the past nine consecutive years! Wesley McGill and Abby Blanchett were also recognized for their stellar performances by being named to the Area All-Star Cast. ICHS will compete at state on November 11 at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon. A public performance is being planned.

MAKE THE CALL AND STOP VIOLENCE IN YOUR SCHOOL

The 1-877-SAY-STOP toll- free hotline was created by the Georgia Department of Education. Students can anonymously report anyone who has a weapon, has threatened to bring a weapon to school, or has violated any other school safety rules. The hotline hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. all calls will be forwarded to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Callers will not be asked to reveal their identities. Make the call; you can make a difference!
