Guidance Counseling
WELCOME
Welcome to the Irwin County High School Counseling Office! This is a safe place. This is a place full of resources. This is a place where the people who work here care about you and will do our best to ensure you are safe and that you succeed.
PURPOSE
Our mission is to help you transition from high school to graduation in the most healthy of ways. This starts with helping you make an easy transition from middle school to high school. It is our job to make sure that you are supported socially, emotionally and academically.
We are charged with helping you prepare for the future. Ensuring that you take the appropriate classes to prepare you for college, military or the world of work.
It is our desire to build relationships with you and your family. When we all work together, we can ensure that students succeed.
Please note that the counselor you start your 9th grade with will be your counselor until you graduate from ICHS.
MEET YOUR COUNSELORS
Dr. Katrina Billingsley - Grades 9 and 11
Also known as Dr. B. I am a native of North Carolina...a true blue Tar Heel! Education has always been very important to our family and so to find myself working in a school is not too far fetched. I am a lover of God and of people. My family is very important to me and my friends are my family. I have a labradoodle named Kooper; she's a sweet girl! I love to travel, go to live concerts, read/listen to books. In my spare time, I teach online classes for counselors-in-training. I believe in counseling, I believe that as school counselors we can help you achieve your goals and get you to the finish line of graduating from ICHS!
Ms. Andrea Fletcher - Grades 10 and 12
One of the dynamic duo that makes up the counseling team at ICHS. I have a daughter, Anna (6th grade) and we have a pup named Tucker and a fish named Goldie. We enjoy spending time outdoors, especially kayaking on the river and laying out at the beach. This is my fifth school year at ICHS and I absolutely love my job. I love getting to know my students and their families and working together to help all of our students succeed. My role is to provide support to students, families, and teachers to ensure student success. I am here for YOU!
Mrs. Wilma Crow - Secretary
I am a grandmother of seven and a mother of three. I have been married for 41 years and I am still in love as I was the day we said I DO!! I have worked at ICHS for six years. I am here to help. Stop by and say hello.

ICHS Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassadors are a group of students who serve as advocates on behalf of the student body. These students have proven they can be leaders in both the school and the community and can be trusted to voice the concerns of students. Under the advice of their counselors, the ambassadors work together as a team to promote unity amongst students within the school regardless of background.
Some of their past projects throughout the school include: an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest, a "Sunshine Cart" full of goodies for the teachers, and community projects like cleaning up local parks. Ambassadors stop at nothing to make sure Irwin County High School will be an inclusive and exciting place to learn and grow for generations to come.
ICHS Student Ambassadors are selected by the counselors based on recommendations by peers, teachers or administrators. Student Ambassadors are leaders in our building. Their goal is to give students an opportunity to create experiences at ICHS that represents the voices of all students.
