Wednesday, September 28, 2022 ATTN: Parents and Students Due to impending weather with wind gusts and potential power outages, Irwin County Schools and offices will be closed Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. All events will be canceled for Thursday and Friday, as well. This also includes sporting events. The football game scheduled for tomorrow night has also been canceled. Thursday, the 29th, and Friday, the 30th, will be considered as weather days for our system. There are also surrounding school systems in our RESA district that have canceled school, as well. The IC Big Red Band is still selling our black dry fit shirts for $25.00 (2xl and up are $28). We now have a Venmo account @BigRedMarchingBandBooster. Also, pink pompoms are for sale for $4.00 each.

Today, Tuesday, 9/27, the ICHS Lady Indians Varsity Softball team will celebrate their Seniors. Join us at the Softball Field at 5:15 today. The ballgame with Brooks Co. will follow the Senior Recognition.

It's back to school time, and we know parents are busy working. Don't forget this school year that Dr. Conner and Ocilla Pediatrics are available for virtual visits for your child with their school nurse! You don't have to leave work and take your child to the doctor, just schedule a visit for the school nurse to coordinate with Dr. Conner through telemedicine. Whether your child gets sick at school, needs an ADHD follow up, or medication refills, this can all be done without them leaving school. These services are available at Irwin County Elementary School ad Irwin County Middle/High School. Call 229-468-7323 for more information.

Global Day of Student Prayer

Attached are the dress up days for homecoming this year! We're very excited to see what all you come up with to show your spirit during homecoming week, both the student body and faculty! Please note that ALL clothing MUST follow dress-code. The dance is for high school students in grades 9-12 ONLY! The dance will be on October 15th in the lunchroom from 7:00-10:00. Tickets are $10/each pre-sale and $15/each at the door. Tickets will begin being sold at lunch next Monday, October 3rd. You MUST have your ticket in order to enter the dance, so when these begin being sold, keep up with them! 

Updated Sports this Week The Lanier vs ICMS Football Playoff Round 1 Game has been moved to tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27th, at 5:00 p.m.

ICHS/ICMS' School Resource Officer, Mr. Bill Barrs, also participated in the Sandy Hook Promise Start with Hello program last week. Officer Barrs is involved on a daily basis in the lives of the students at Irwin County High School and Irwin County Middle School.
