Due to inclement weather, Irwin County Schools will be closed and all sporting events will be canceled on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Staff and students will return on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Due to the coming inclement weather, the home varsity basketball games vs Pelham (1/9) and Coffee (1/13) have been rescheduled for (1/30) Pelham and (1/31) Coffee.

ICHS Band Director, Michael Staub and the ICHS/ICMS Concert Bands would love to welcome the Irwin County Community to attend their fall band concert on November 2, 2023, at 6:30 PM in the McFarland Theatre. The concert will feature the 7th and 8th grade ICMS Concert Band and The ICHS Concert Band.
Big Congratulations to the ICHS Cross Country Teams. They competed in their region meet on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Runners ran against other Region 1 A Div 1 schools in Lakeland, GA at Camp Patten. The top 4 teams in the region and the top 6 individuals qualify for the state meet.
Our varsity boys team(Kyce Nyberg, Caleb Paulk, Jonathan Arnold, Shaw Fletcher, and Casey Collins) placed third in the region meet. Each runner either had a personal best time or ran close to their normal times.
Our girl's varsity team (Skye Royal, Kynnedy Robinson, Lauren Withers, Annie Verway, and Marlee Hamilton) placed second in their region meet and are the REGION RUNNER-UPS for Region 1 A Div 1. Several girls also placed in the top 6 finishers in the race: Lauren Withers--6th, Kynnedy Robinson--5th....and coming in FIRST and being named the 1A DIV 1 Girls region champion is SKYE ROYAL.
These runners did an amazing job. Many personal records were set.
We are very proud of our runners and their efforts. Both teams will advance to the state meet NEXT Friday, Nov 3 in Carrollton. Boys will race at 10:30 and Girls will race at 11:15.
Irwin County High School will host girls basketball tryouts starting at 3:30 PM on Monday, October 23. 2023. This will be a two-day tryout.
Irwin County High School's blood drive is will be today from 9 AM - 2 PM.

Due to the possibility of severe weather tomorrow, the ICHS Varsity tennis match scheduled for tomorrow, has been moved to Wednesday.

Flags recently completed in Mr. Pridgen's Engineering Applications class at Irwin County High School. The students who completed the flags are Bryan Rodriguez, Carter Pace, Ron Smith, Shaw Fletcher, Justin Pope, Nathan Williams, Jayden Hutchinson, David Atkinson, Bryan Foubert, Michael Lampkin, and Elijah Paulk. Way to go, students! The flags are excellent!
Irwin County High School's concert band received an overall excellent rating on-stage and a superior rating in sight reading at the competition. This is truly an outstanding group. They performed music one full grade level harder this year than last and did an outstanding job! Congratulations, students, and Mr. Staub!

BBQ Time is here!!!! Irwin FFA members are selling BBQ plate tickets for lunch (11-1) on March 31st. Plates are $7 and includes BBQ sandwich, baked beans, chips and a cookie. See your favorite FFA member or advisor for tickets.
Irwin County Schools invited local law enforcement to breakfast today in appreciation of their service and to celebrate National School Breakfast Week. The officers were able to eat breakfast at either ICES or ICHS/ICMS. Breakfast was a huge success!!
